German art training that gave new insights into Africa

LONDON.- When does a work of art become part of a country's national heritage? Bonhams next sale of South African Art on 21st March 2012 in New Bond Street, London, may go some way towards answering that question when 'Zulu Woman' by Irma Stern goes under the hammer.

Painted in 1935 at the height of her creative powers by South Africa's leading artist, Irma Stern, it is estimated to sell for £400,000 to £600,00. As Irma Stern's reputation is without equal in the field of South African art and the image is an iconic one of African womanhood from one of South Africa's leading tribes, there is every reason to believe it qualifies as something very special.

What You Know About That Music Video

what you know about that music video

And if you don't know… now you know - Written By Sofia Topsy

Today I would like to introduce you to two solo artists I recently discovered purely out of luck. I found the first one on YouTube through the suggested videos. I hesitantly clicked on it; thinking to myself that there was no way this new song would top what I was previously listening to. I was surprisingly proven wrong, and that is how I discovered a perfectly substantial song, but more importantly a rapper who I've became extremely fond of. I am very excited to introduce you to Macklemore…

Macklemore, originally known as Ben Haggerty, is a Hip Hop artist based in Seattle, Washington. He reminds me of an edgier version of Asher Roth. I would say Macklemore is much better than Asher Roth due to the fact that he raps about more serious things: Drug addiction being one of his main issues. Macklemore being a former drug addict himself should be congratulated: both for being honest about his past, as well as having the balls to discuss it in his music.

The reason I like him so much is because when I try and think of a musician to compare him to, I can't do it. This is because he is genuinely unique. He's adapted a very nice style and I warmed to him immediately. He's also humble; one of his lyrics being: "I learned from my teachers but became through my music". Once again, I hope you enjoy what I have chosen for you guys.

Elizabeth had to take the semester off in order to make this tour.

Ginny Hawker heard Elizabeth at Mt. Airy Fiddlers Convention, and told Elizabeth bout Augusta Heritage and Vocal Week. A year or two later, Ginny sponsored Elizabeth at Vocal Week. That's when Elizabeth took a week-long class with Sheila Kay Adams.

Northern spain......where would be the best base to travel by car? | Europe Forum

I'm helping my aunt and uncle out who are in their early 60's and very athletic and adventourous people. They would like to fly into Barcelona and stay for about 3 or 4 days and then drive up north towards San Sebastian and then onto france after 5 days of sightseeing spain. I'm not sure what town would be best to use as a base to travel norther spain.
